Honestly, if these people want to risk their own lives, that's on them. I'm sure they know how risky it is and I'm sure I'd do the same. Just to say, I was this close to actual lava/volcano.

Ah the good old days in Iceland, before the authorities banned people with exclusion zones. BTW a telephoto lens was being used, these people were not standing at the base of this crater, they were on a hill top some distance from the volcano.

I kinda don't blame them, there aren't many places you can go to see an erupting volcano as close as this. Once in a lifetime opportunity. But a few of them almost got hit in the head with lava splatter. Also a once in a lifetime opportunity.
